Bimal Oberoi's Musical Journey

Following the success of his film Dhurandhar 2, actor Bimal Oberoi has launched a new song titled Firdaus. Not only did he write the lyrics, but he also performed the recitation. Collaborating with Prasad S, the track was officially released on April 9. After the launch, Oberoi engaged in an exclusive conversation with us, sharing insights about the inspiration behind his song, which he attributes to Salman Khan. The concept for Firdaus emerged while he was filming Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan in Vienna.

Inspiration Behind 'Firdaus'

In our exclusive interview, Bimal elaborated on how the idea for Firdaus came to him during the shoot for Tiger 3. He described the scene: "While filming, there were barricades on either side, and a crowd of fans was chanting Salman's name. I recalled a line that resonated with me: 'seher ki vo konsi Firdaus hai jise hum nahi jaante.' It struck me that this could be a song dedicated to icons like Salman Khan and Dharmendra ji," he explained.

Bimal further revealed that he composed the entire song with Salman in mind. After writing the lyrics, music director Prasad S invited him to the studio, where director Gaurav Chandelya encouraged him to recite the lines. "I recited it in the studio, and Gaurav later crafted the music around it, creating a catchy hook. This piece is more about performative poetry than traditional singing," he noted. He also referenced Amitabh Bachchan's recitation of 'Main Aur Meri Tanhai' from Silsila as a structural influence for his song. The concept evolved into a humorous narrative featuring a roadside Romeo who pretends to be affluent, stepping out of an auto in vibrant attire. Bimal expressed his hope that audiences would enjoy the accompanying video, which he described as very entertaining.
