This series also marked the OTT debut of the esteemed actress Zeenat Aman, alongside co-stars Sakshi Tanwar, Dino Morea, and Milind Soman. The show garnered favorable reviews from both critics and viewers. Although many anticipated Bhumi's return for the second season, reports indicate that she has decided to exit the series. Sources suggest that there were no conflicts with the production team, but Bhumi has chosen to pursue other opportunities.

A source informed a local media outlet that audiences connected deeply with the family dynamics portrayed in The Royals, particularly between Ishaan, Zeenat Aman, and Sakshi. The first season concluded with unresolved romantic tensions, prompting the creators to allow the narrative to evolve naturally in the upcoming season. Following her rumored departure from The Royals 2, Bhumi is reportedly in discussions for a courtroom drama and may star alongside Imran Khan in his anticipated comeback film for a streaming platform, which has been in the works for a while. Additionally, she is expected to begin filming for Daldal 2.
Despite the speculation surrounding her exit, neither Bhumi nor the production team has officially confirmed this news. In a previous interview with a media outlet, Bhumi addressed the trolling she faced regarding the series, expressing that she had become somewhat desensitized to public opinion after experiencing criticism. She acknowledged that while the feedback was challenging, she felt grateful that viewers engaged with the series.
