Bhooth Bangla is a collaborative effort between Balaji Motion Pictures, led by Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar's Cape of Good Films. Balaji Motion Pictures has reportedly responded to these allegations.

By the conclusion of its third weekend, the film's worldwide gross officially exceeded Rs 225 crore, showcasing a steady performance in its third week, which is promising for any Bollywood release.
