The team behind the highly anticipated Harry Potter reboot series is giving fans an exclusive look into the production process. Titled Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magic, this documentary will showcase the making of Season 1, which is based on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It is set to premiere on April 5 on HBO and HBO Max, with availability on JioHotstar in India. The documentary will feature the new trio of actors, including Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout, along with iconic locations such as the Great Hall and Diagon Alley for the first time. The series is scheduled to debut on December 25, 2026.


Documentary Offers a Glimpse into Hogwarts


On social media, HBO unveiled the initial poster and trailer for Finding Harry, highlighting the unique insights it provides into the series from the creative minds behind it. Actors John Lithgow, portraying Albus Dumbledore; Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall; and Paapa Essiedu, who takes on the role of Severus Snape, share their experiences during production. The documentary is expected to feature McLaughlin, Stanton, and Stout discussing their roles as Harry, Hermione, and Ron, respectively.



Veteran actor Lithgow discusses how the series is reinterpreting the Harry Potter legacy for a new audience. Filming is currently taking place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK, the same location where the original eight Harry Potter films were produced.
