In an emotional conversation, Babul Supriyo expressed that true artists never fade away. He stated, "Such artists never die. Asha Bhosle will always remain alive as long as Bollywood and music exist. This is a personal loss for me. I had the privilege of performing alongside her numerous times and getting to know her well. She was very dear to my family. When my mother passed away during the pandemic, she reached out to us and offered her condolences. She was like family to us." The singer noted that Asha Bhosle had a modern outlook, preferring stylish attire over formal wear. He recounted, "When I first performed with her in 1996, I was quite intimidated. I had prepared extensively and brought formal outfits. However, on the third day, she asked why I wasn't wearing casual clothes, which relieved me immensely. I rushed to buy contemporary outfits the next day."
Babul Supriyo also mentioned that he utilized Asha Tai's voice through AI technology for his recent album, Inteha Ho Gayi 2.0.

I learned from them the seriousness with which they approached their craft. Even at her age, Asha ji practiced regularly and advised me to rehearse songs thoroughly before performing. That cheque, signed by her, is something I treasure." He also mentioned that he had been in discussions with Asha Bhosle six months ago for a show in Bhopal, which unfortunately did not come to fruition. He concluded, "I will miss her dearly. Asha Bhosle will never truly leave us; she will live on in our hearts, songs, and memories." As the news of her passing spreads, her remains have been brought to her residence in Mumbai, where friends, celebrities, and politicians are gathering to pay their final respects. Her funeral is scheduled for Monday (April 13) at 4 PM at Shivaji Park.
