Renowned singer Asha Bhosle's funeral is scheduled for tomorrow evening at Shivaji Park. The beloved icon of indipop passed away earlier today, April 12, due to multiple organ failure at the age of 92, at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Her body is currently at her residence in Lower Parel, Mumbai, where fans can pay their respects. Given the location of the funeral, a large turnout is anticipated. However, Asha Tai's son, Anand Bhosle, has urged the public to refrain from gathering at the venue. He also shared details regarding the timing for the last viewing.


Request for Limited Attendance

During a media interaction, Anand Bhosle stated that the public can visit to pay their last respects from 10:30 AM to 2 PM at the Casa Grande building in Lower Parel. He appeared alongside politician Ashish Shelar while addressing the media. Anand mentioned, “Tomorrow, from 10:30 AM to 2 PM, people can come and take the last darshan of my mother at Casa Grande. Her last rites will take place at 4 PM at the crematorium. I kindly ask everyone not to gather there to prevent overcrowding.”



For those unfamiliar, Shivaji Park is located near Dadar Chaityabhoomi, which will see many followers of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar visiting on April 14 to commemorate his birth anniversary. In light of these events, Anand Bhosle has reiterated his request for the public to avoid gathering at Shivaji Park to prevent any potential chaos or stampede.

Asha Bhosle was a towering figure in the Indian music scene for over 80 years, beginning her career at the tender age of 10 in 1943. Throughout her illustrious journey, she recorded more than 12,000 songs across various languages including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Bengali, and English. Asha was married twice and had three children with her first husband, Ganpatrao Bhosle. In 1980, she wed the renowned musician Rahul Dev Burman, affectionately known as Pancham Da. Her accolades include seven Filmfare Awards and two National Film Awards as a playback singer, along with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Filmfare Awards in 2001.
