The beloved singer, who was 92 years old, passed away on April 12 due to multiple organ failure at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Numerous Bollywood stars gathered to pay their final tributes at her residence in Mumbai.


Shreya Ghoshal, a prominent figure in the music industry, also honored Asha Tai during her concert in London. She performed some of the legendary singer's most cherished songs while images of Asha Bhosle were projected on large screens.

On the day of Asha Bhosle's passing, Shreya expressed her grief through an emotional note on Instagram. She shared photos of Asha ji and wrote, "Today, we lost a voice that defined generations… a spirit that redefined music itself. Asha Bhosle ji wasn’t just legendary, she was limitless. I grew up listening to her, learning from her, being in awe of her effortless versatility…"


Shreya emphasized how Asha ji brought every note to life and made every emotion resonate personally. She highlighted the late singer's ability to perform playful melodies, profound ghazals, and songs in various languages, including Marathi and Bengali. "For many of us, she wasn’t just an inspiration… she was a part of our musical soul," Ghoshal remarked.
