Arjun Rampal Discusses His Journey from Modelling to Acting
Arjun Rampal Reflects on His Career Transition
Mumbai, Dec 18: Actor Arjun Rampal recently shared his experiences regarding the hurdles he encountered while moving from modelling to acting.
In a candid conversation, he opened up about the various challenges, learning experiences, and the perseverance that defined his path from the fashion industry to the film industry. Recalling his initial experiences, Arjun stated, “The shift from modelling to acting was anything but seamless. Modelling prepares you in a very specific way; the camera feels familiar, and the commands remain consistent, leading you to respond in a certain manner.”
“I vividly remember watching my first rushes from Moksha and feeling completely rigid. Acting requires you to do the opposite of modelling; you must forget the camera and fully embody the character. That transition took time. I am thankful for those who believed in me, provided opportunities, and allowed me the freedom to evolve. Those repeated chances were crucial,” he added.
Arjun Rampal made his acting debut in 2001 with Rajiv Rai’s romantic film “Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat” and has since appeared in over 40 films. His recent performance as ISI Major Iqbal in “Dhurandhar” has received significant acclaim.
Released on December 5, “Dhurandhar” features a star-studded cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
Recently, Arjun expressed his gratitude after receiving overwhelming love and support for “Dhurandhar.” He shared behind-the-scenes photos from the film's shoot, stating, “Ladies & Gentlemen, we were not prepared for this. Thank you for the incredible love, support, and acceptance you have shown for #dhurandhar.”
“The moment you narrated the film to me, I understood the significance of the story you aimed to tell, unfolding in a unique narrative style. The depth of research, the intricacies of each character, and their distinct looks and attitudes were impressive. You consistently surprised me. Most importantly, you managed the pressure during filming without a hitch. Thank you, Boiya. Love you,” Rampal concluded.
