Arijit Singh, along with his wife Koel Roy, was seen voting in Jiyaganj, Murshidabad, earlier today (April 23) for the West Bengal Elections 2026. A video capturing their exit from the polling booth has gone viral on social media, showcasing the couple's participation in the electoral process. The couple was approached by photographers, who posed questions to Arijit, who responded playfully. However, he chose not to display his inked finger to the media.

In the trending video, when asked about his voting experience, Arijit was encouraged by the photographers to share a message since they had traveled a long distance. The Kesariya singer humorously remarked that giving a message while voting might lead to chaos, jokingly suggesting it could make him appear like a politician. Consequently, he politely declined to provide any election-related message. When asked to show his inked finger, the Phir Mohabbat singer smiled and stated that his presence at the polling center was proof of his vote.

Arijit greeted the photographers with a smile, urging them to cover the democratic event responsibly. Notably, several individuals, including actress Swastika Mukherjee, have raised concerns about their names missing from the voter list for the West Bengal Elections 2026, which prevented her from voting. She also faced a similar issue during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
