Anupam Kher Voices Concern for Assam Flood Victims
Mumbai: Renowned actor Anupam Kher has shared his profound sorrow regarding the catastrophic floods affecting Assam.
In a heartfelt message, he conveyed that the distressing images emerging from the flood-hit regions have left him profoundly affected. The star of 'Special 26' took to social media to urge individuals to step up and assist those impacted by this calamity.
On Instagram, Anupam posted a video where he shed light on the hardships endured by countless families who have lost their homes and means of income. He also expressed his concern for the animals caught in this disaster. In the video, the 71-year-old actor stated, “Friends, I am deeply saddened by the images of this catastrophic flood. It’s hard to articulate the scenes we are witnessing on television and social media. Some individuals have lost their families, while others have lost their homes. Many children and elderly individuals are left exposed to the elements.”
He continued, “What troubles me the most is witnessing helpless animals struggling amidst this disaster. When nature unleashes its fury, we are reminded of our vulnerability. I felt this once again while observing the situation in Assam. During such trying times, we often ponder what we can do in the face of such overwhelming suffering. However, we realize that if each of us extends a helping hand in any way possible, it can ease the burden for a family.”
Anupam emphasized, “It can instill hope in a child and empower a mother to believe she is not alone. I am praying for the people of Assam and expressing my heartfelt gratitude to everyone tirelessly working to assist them.”
