Anupam Kher's Musical Tribute to Armed Forces

Mumbai, July 5: Veteran actor Anupam Kher is gearing up to launch the inaugural song from his directorial debut, 'Tanvi The Great'.

On Saturday, Kher took to Instagram to share a video discussing the song's significance. He revealed that the track serves as a tribute to the Indian armed forces and is part of a soundtrack that includes eight songs.

In his caption, he expressed his excitement, stating, “FIRST SONG AND FIRST SCREENING OF TANVI THE GREAT: Today we will unveil the first song of our film. I am confident you will enjoy it! This beautiful piece was penned by @kausarmunir ji, and @mmkeeravaani G has composed it in his enchanting style (sic).”

He added, “This song is a humble dedication to our #IndianArmedForces! I believe you will love it! Today, prior to the film's release in India, we will have our first screening for the new cadets and officers of the #NationalDefenceAcademy (NDA)! Our team is thrilled about both events! Please send us your love, best wishes, and blessings! #TanviTheGreat is a film from India - for the world! Hail India! #FirstSongOut.”

Previously, Kher reminisced about introducing actor Vinay Pathak to Kashmiri cuisine during the filming of 'Khosla Ka Ghosla'. Reflecting on the experience, he shared how Pathak was surprised by the flavors of Kashmiri food.

Kher recounted, “I introduced Vinay to Kashmiri food, and he was amazed, saying, ‘Kashmiri food is like this?’ I was delighted to share this cuisine with him. He had expected something different. Recently, I read that Vinay spoke about this experience. It reminded me of when someone introduced me to Japanese food long ago.” He further elaborated, “The beauty of Kashmiri cuisine lies in its absence of tomatoes, onions, and garlic, yet it remains incredibly flavorful. India is rich in culinary diversity; every 500 kilometers, you encounter new dishes, from Gujarati to Marathi thaalis.”
