Anupam Kher Celebrates 64th Birthday and Reflects on Father's Passing

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher recently celebrated his 64th birthday on July 7. Born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, on 7th 1955, Kher shared a unique perspective on his father's passing. Interestingly, he did not shed tears upon the death of his father, Pushkar Nath Kher. Instead, Anupam and his brother, Raju Kher, chose to celebrate their father's life. Their father passed away on 10th 2012 while Anupam was en route to Goa for the wedding of director David Dhawan's son. Upon receiving the news, he promptly returned to Mumbai.

Details of the Celebration

Following his father's death, Anupam released a statement explaining the reason behind the celebration.

He expressed, 'We do not mourn our father's passing because he lived a full life and bid farewell to the world. He experienced many joys during his lifetime, and thus, we are celebrating his death. I am sure he is making everyone laugh in heaven right now.'

A Colorful Request to Friends

Anupam also urged his friends to wear colorful attire to his father's prayer meeting. He stated, 'As I mentioned, we are celebrating my father's life. Therefore, I request my friends not to wear black or white to express sorrow. Please come dressed in colorful clothes, as my father gave us everything in life.'
