In a recent interview with a media outlet, Abhinay expressed his enthusiasm for new viewers to experience the Indian version of 24. He remarked, "We should have released this show sooner. The response has been incredible, especially considering it has been 13 years since the first season aired. People are saying it feels like we just made it last year, which is truly gratifying."
He added, "Viewers are surprised that it doesn’t seem dated, which makes me very happy."
Future Prospects for Brown
Will Brown return for Season 2?
Abhinay's current project, Brown, is based on Abeek Barua's novel, City of Death, which is a standalone narrative. Although there isn't a sequel to the book, the director is optimistic about the possibility of continuing the story with familiar characters. He explained, "While the book is a standalone story, we made adaptations for the screen that allow for character development over multiple seasons."
He further elaborated, "In any crime narrative, the characters can evolve. This series is not just about crime; it also delves into human nature. It will be fascinating to see how the characters develop in future seasons. I genuinely hope we can produce the next season, as it would be intriguing to explore further." Karisma Kapoor stars as Rita Brown, a police officer from Kolkata, alongside Surya Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, Soni Razdan, and Ajinkya Deo in the series currently available on Zee5.
