In a conversation with a media outlet, Anant expressed admiration for the creative minds behind Chumbak, who have previously contributed to beloved sitcoms like Khichdi and Sarabhai versus Sarabhai. The series is described as a revival of the charm of community living, showcasing five families that support each other and form a surrogate family.
Anant shared, "This is my first time portraying a Parsi character. Although I have no ties to Bombay, I was given the opportunity to embody a Parsi boy, which is fascinating, especially with their unique dialect. The humor in this show is incredible. Trust Aatish Kapadia and his writing; this series is genuinely hilarious. The entire cast, from Neena Ji to Deven Bhojani and Sumeet Vyas, is performing at their best right now." He added, "Matching their energy was a challenge, but I'm thrilled to see how audiences will respond, as this type of sitcom is currently missing from OTT platforms."

Recently, Anant has gained popularity for his roles in projects like 12th Fail, Maamla Legal Hai, and Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. When asked about the types of roles that captivate him, he stated, "I am drawn to characters that have a clear purpose in a story. This is often reflected in real life and in the workplace. For instance, in 12th Fail, my character had a distinct goal, which intrigued me greatly. The nuances of a character, whether they are good or bad, are secondary to their purpose."
He continued, "The most rewarding aspect of playing antagonistic roles is their complexity. Characters who are intentionally malevolent or destructive possess intricate minds. They are not straightforward individuals. As an actor, I crave these complexities. There’s something about twisted characters that consistently draws me in," he concluded. Anant's latest shows, Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 and Gullak 5, are currently available on Netflix and SonyLIV, respectively. He will also appear in the upcoming film Eetha, featuring Shraddha Kapoor.
