Amaal Mallik Reflects on Family Bonds and Arijit Singh's Future
Amaal Mallik Opens Up Post-Bigg Boss Experience
After his time in the Bigg Boss 19 house, Amaal Mallik has become more expressive about his life. The singer-composer feels liberated following his participation in the show hosted by Salman Khan. He has developed a stronger bond with his family, particularly with his brother, Armaan Malik, who is also a singer-songwriter. Despite their close ties, Amaal noted that people often compare them and create rivalry narratives. He also discussed the future of Arijit Singh, clarifying that his retirement announcement should not be seen as a final farewell.
Amaal Mallik Discusses His Bond with Armaan
In a conversation with Zoom, Amaal referred to Armaan as his 'baby,' emphasizing that this sentiment will never change. He expressed pride in Armaan's accomplishments both internationally and in India, stating, "I'm proud to own it. He's my child." Amaal is aware of the competitive narratives that surround them, mentioning, "People say he gets work because of me, and they tell me my success is due to him being popular among the youth. They try to create friction between us. Life is like Bigg Boss in many ways. What I appreciated during those three months was the chance to release all negative feelings and vibes."
Amaal Mallik on Arijit Singh's Retirement
Regarding Arijit Singh's recent announcement about stepping back from playback singing, Amaal reassured fans that there is no need for concern. He revealed that around a hundred unreleased tracks recorded over the last four years will be released. Amaal stated, "Arijit has produced incredible work, and even more is on the horizon. I take pride in having someone from my family associated with the biggest singer today, Arijit, who is also a wonderful person. The bond between my younger brother, Armaan, and Arijit is remarkable. When Armaan performed 'Channa Mereya,' he stood shoulder to shoulder with Arijit. Although Arijit is stepping away from film music, it’s not a cause for sadness. This is a new chapter for him, collaborating with Anoushka Shankar and exploring music beyond films. He is joining the ranks of great musicians like Ranjit Barot and Zakir Hussain. The man is still very much alive in the music scene. How are you all interpreting this?" Arijit has also confirmed that several unfinished songs will be released throughout 2026, and he mentioned on X that anything is possible in the future.
