Allu Arjun Appears Virtually in Court
Allu Arjun, the star of Pushpa 2, has been designated as Accused No.11 in the tragic Sandhya Theatre stampede incident. He attended the Nampally Court in Hyderabad via video link. This unfortunate event, which occurred on December 4, 2024, resulted in the death of a woman. Although the actor was scheduled to appear in person on June 22, his legal representatives informed the court that he would join virtually due to ongoing filming commitments in Mumbai. The court has now postponed the hearing to July 6.
Latest Developments in the Case
The Nampally Criminal Court decided to adjourn the hearing to July 6 after several accused individuals failed to appear before the Magistrate. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun participated in the session through video conferencing. Advocate Bhanu Chander, who represents Sandhya Theatre, noted that only 21 or 22 of the accused were present, while a couple were absent. He stated, "I am here to represent in crime number 376 of 2024 in PRC (Preliminary Related Case) 260 of 2026 from A1 to A10 (the theatre management and partners). Today is the appearance before the Magistrate at Nampally to file a committal bond." The next hearing is set for July 6 to discuss the next steps regarding the registration of the SC sessions case, with all 23 accused expected to appear together.
Allu Arjun's Response to the Incident
Reflecting on the tragedy two years after it occurred, Allu Arjun expressed his heartfelt condolences for the loss of life in the stampede. In a video message shared on X, he stated, "My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally." He also committed to providing any necessary support to help the family navigate this challenging period.
On the professional front, Allu Arjun is set to star in Atlee's upcoming film Raaka, alongside Deepika Padukone.
