She recounted her mother's harrowing escape from Nazi Germany at the age of six, highlighting her grandfather's bravery in opposing Hitler. After spending some time in Czechoslovakia, Soni's family eventually reached the UK via a Jewish kindertransport train, overcoming numerous challenges. Later, her mother married NN Razdan and began a new chapter in India.
