Alia Bhatt's Alpha Set for Theatrical Release on July 10, 2026
Alpha's Theatrical Release Confirmed
Alia Bhatt's upcoming film, Alpha, is confirmed for a theatrical release, dispelling any rumors of an OTT debut. The film, which features Bobby Deol and Sharvari, is now scheduled to premiere in cinemas on July 10, 2026. Initially, it was set for an April 17, 2026 release, but the date was moved to avoid competition with Salman Khan's Battle of Galwan. Prior to this, the film was expected to hit theaters on Christmas 2025.
New Release Date for Alpha
The release of Alpha has been rescheduled once more! Yash Raj Films' first female-led spy thriller will now be available in theaters on July 10, 2026. The production company announced this update on their Instagram account, along with a new poster for the film. Alia also shared the news on her own Instagram, stating, "#ALPHA 10.07.2026 See you in cinemas."
Previously, there were speculations that the film might be released directly on Netflix, with reports suggesting that the streaming service had proposed a deal worth Rs 215 crore for its digital release. However, the filmmakers rejected this offer. A spokesperson for Yash Raj Films clarified, "The idea that Alpha would go straight to streaming is a rumor aimed at undermining a film led by a female protagonist. YRF takes great pride in delivering cinematic experiences and will not release films from its theatrical lineup directly to streaming. Alpha is a significant project for us." They expressed confidence in the film's quality and hope it will resonate with audiences just as their previous action films have.
