Ali Fazal to Star in New Horror-Thriller 'Beyond' Set in the Himalayas

Ali Fazal's Upcoming Film 'Beyond'

Renowned actor Ali Fazal is gearing up to feature in the horror-thriller film titled 'Beyond', alongside co-star Tillotama Shome. The movie, directed by Sumit Purohit, takes place in a spectral town nestled in the Himalayas. The screenplay is a collaborative effort between Purohit and Saurav Dey, as reported.

Purohit shared insights into the film's inspiration, noting that it draws from local folklore and legends. He expressed, “Like many others from the region, my aspirations led me to move away in search of opportunities. This constant migration has left many hill settlements slowly turning into ghost towns and villages, deserted by their people. One such place, forgotten and frozen in time, is the setting for my film Beyond.”

He further elaborated, “Local legends and myths also inspire the narrative. While it unfolds as a mystery horror, its essence lies in capturing the desolation of the place.”

'Beyond' is being produced by Chippy Babu and Abhishek Sharma’s TrainTripper Films, along with Mario Stefan’s fieber.film. The filming will take place in the breathtaking Himalayan region.
