Concerns for Rajesh Sharma's Health

Actor Akshay Kumar has expressed his worries regarding the well-being of his friend and co-star Rajesh Sharma, who was recently hospitalized in Hyderabad following a health scare caused by an insect bite during the filming of Fauji, featuring Prabhas. In response to the distressing news, Kumar took to social media to share his support for Sharma, posting a touching message along with a photo of the two. He wrote, “Very concerned to hear about my dear friend Rajesh's health condition after an insect bite while shooting. Hope Mahadev blesses him with fast and complete recovery. Jaldi theek ho ja yaar, abhi saath baith ke bhot hansna hai,” which conveys his wish for a quick recovery so they can enjoy laughter together once more.

In light of Sharma's hospitalization, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has demanded a comprehensive investigation into the events leading to his sudden health decline. The association voiced its serious concerns regarding the incident, stressing the importance of understanding the circumstances that resulted in such a critical medical emergency. AICWA's statement underscored the industry's obligation to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment for everyone involved in film production.

The AICWA further condemned the current working conditions on film sets, asserting, “The film industry has a legal and moral responsibility to provide a safe, hygienic and medically prepared working environment for every artist, technician and worker.” They highlighted ongoing issues such as poor hygiene, lack of sanitation, and inadequate emergency medical facilities, which pose significant risks to the thousands of individuals who work long hours on set.

Rajesh Sharma's health issues arose while he was working on Fauji. As his condition deteriorated, he was moved to Kolkata for treatment, where he was admitted in serious condition. The news of his illness has sent shockwaves through the film community, leading to an outpouring of concern and support from fellow actors and industry professionals.

To address the situation, the AICWA has contacted Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, calling for an immediate high-level inquiry. They aim to determine the precise cause of Sharma's medical emergency and whether all safety and medical protocols were followed during the shoot. Currently, the production team behind Fauji has not issued any official statement regarding the incident.
