Exciting Reunion of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan


Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, who have previously collaborated on successful films such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Heyy Babyy (2007), and Mission Mangal (2019), are set to join forces once again in a new comedy-drama directed by Anees Bazmee. Recently, Akshay confirmed their collaboration by posting a video of himself and Vidya boarding a flight to Kerala to commence filming. On May 5, he shared a photo with Vidya and Raashii Khanna, announcing that they have completed their shooting schedule in Kerala. He expressed his appreciation for the crew, calling them "incredible."

On his Instagram, Akshay Kumar posted a cheerful picture featuring himself, Vidya Balan, and Raashii Khanna, celebrating the end of their Kerala filming. In his caption, he conveyed his enthusiasm, stating that working with great people in a stunning location is unmatched. He also thanked director Anees Bazmee for his dynamic direction and praised his co-stars Vidya and Raashii, emphasizing that this project holds a special place in his heart.

Regarding their recent work, Akshay Kumar was last featured in Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, marking their reunion after 14 years. The film tells the story of Arjun Maurya (played by Akshay), who returns to his ancestral village, Mangalpur, to organize his sister's wedding at their family palace. Despite warnings about a local legend of a demon named Vadhusur, who supposedly makes brides disappear on their wedding night, Arjun remains doubtful until he confronts the legend himself. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jisshu Sengupta, and Rajesh Sharma, contributing to this comedy-drama's multi-generational appeal.



Vidya Balan recently appeared in Raja Shivaji, directed by and featuring Riteish Deshmukh as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This film depicts Shivaji's journey from youth to establishing Swarajya, showcasing his battles against the Mughals and Adil Shahis. Vidya plays the role of Badi Begum, the powerful ruler of the Bijapur Sultanate and mother of Ali Adil Shah II, who opposes Shivaji Maharaj. The film has been performing reasonably well at the box office.


Meanwhile, Raashii Khanna is set to star in an upcoming OTT series titled Lukkhe, which also features King, Lakshvir Singh Saran, Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Kritika Bharadwaj, Shivankit Parihar, Yograj Singh, and Ayesha Raza Mishra.
