At the success event for 'Lenin', Nagarjuna disclosed that Akhil experienced a freak accident about one and a half to two years ago, where a shard of glass caused a serious injury to his hand, nearly severing a nerve and resulting in a loss of sensation. The family faced a tough time and opted to keep this ordeal private.
Nagarjuna shared that Akhil underwent extensive physiotherapy over several months before he began to heal. He noted that the accident brought about a transformation in Akhil. “Something changed in him; he became more composed and reflective. These are personal matters I’m sharing now because it feels right to do so,” Nagarjuna remarked. He also acknowledged Akhil's wife, Zainab Ravdjee, for infusing positivity into his life, stating, “I believe that calmness came with his partnership with Zainab, marking the beginning of better times for him.”
