Ajay Devgn Commemorates Tanhaji's Anniversary


Mumbai, January 10: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn recently celebrated the sixth anniversary of his historical film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, by posting an illustrated artwork that highlights some of the film's most impactful scenes.


In a message shared on social media, Ajay expressed in Marathi, which translates to, “The fort is won but the lion is dead,” adding that the story continues… #6YearsOfTanhaji.


The artwork features Ajay portraying the brave Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare, depicted heroically amidst a fierce battle. Another image shows him in traditional garb, complete with a turban and sword, while a third image features Kajol as Tanhaji's wife.


Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, directed by Om Raut, premiered on January 10, 2020. Produced by Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under T-Series and Ajay Devgn’s FFilms, the film achieved remarkable box office success.


Saif Ali Khan played the role of the antagonist, while Kajol portrayed Tanhaji’s wife, Savitribai. The film was honored with the National Award for Best Popular Film.


This film was not the first collaboration for Kajol and Ajay; they have worked together on several projects. Their romance began during the filming of “Gundaraj” in 1994, and they tied the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony in 1999. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2003, followed by a son, Yug, in 2010.


On the work front, Ajay is gearing up for his next film, ‘Dhamaal 4’, which is scheduled for release in 2026. The cast includes Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar, and Ravi Kishan.
