Adah Sharma Introduces 'Super Velli'

Mumbai, March 13: Actress Adah Sharma has announced her upcoming film titled 'Super Velli', where she takes on the role of a superhero.

Directed by Rajesh Bachchani, the film features Adah as a lazy and chaotic superhero whose goal is to wreak havoc using her powers.

In a recent statement, Adah shared, "Recently, I posted a video on social media declaring 'I'm Velli', which led news outlets to suggest I was out of work. People advised me to clarify, but I thought, 'What would Velli do?' She'd be too lazy to explain. So, in true Velli fashion, here’s ‘Super Velli’. With great power comes great responsibility.”

Rajesh Bachchani commented, “I recall Adah's entertaining role as Bhavna Reddy in the ‘Commando’ series. Her authentic talent combined with her sharp, quirky personality made her the perfect choice for ‘Super Velli’. After three years of script development, we are excited to present something innovative to the audience.”

Following the success of ‘The Kerala Story’, Adah is now venturing into a unique realm filled with humor, madness, and an unconventional hero.

The teaser suggests a character more inclined to nap than to save the world, yet finds herself amidst chaos. This superhero is refreshingly unpredictable, oscillating between clumsiness and unexpected brilliance.

Previously, Adah, who received acclaim for her role in ‘The Kerala Story’, addressed her absence from the sequel.

She stated, “I prefer discussing films I am involved in. If I'm not part of a project, I believe it’s inappropriate to speak about it just for publicity. Whether I was approached for the sequel is a matter for the filmmakers and the actor to discuss privately.”

“The first film focused on ISIS camps in Afghanistan, illustrating how an innocent girl becomes a terrorist. The sequel tells a completely different story,” she added.
