Insights from Abhinay Deo on Collaborating with Ajinkya
Abhinay expressed his thoughts on working with his elder brother, stating, "Fortunately, our roles are clearly defined; I am not an actor, and he is not a director. This clarity helps us immensely. Knowing him since childhood allows me to understand what he can contribute to a scene without needing to explore it further. His talent as an actor makes it a dream collaboration for me."Abhinay Deo Discusses the Narrative of 'Brown'
The filmmaker shared that he was unaware of Abheek Barua's novel, City of Death, until Ashima Avasthi introduced it to him. He remarked, "Upon reading it, I found the story to be incredibly captivating and intense. The book had a lot to offer. When they approached me, they also provided a loose screenplay and were looking for a director to join the project."After diving into City of Death, Abhinay was drawn to the narrative, particularly the setting of Kolkata, which he finds fascinating. He noted, "Kolkata is a unique city that stands out in our country. Beyond being a crime drama, it also presents a profound human story, which captivated me. From that point, we were fully committed to the project." The cast of Brown features notable actors such as Surya Sharma, Soni Razdan, Jisshu Sengupta, Helen Khan, KK Raina, Meghna Malik, Shaan, and Paresh Pahuja in significant roles. The Hindi series debuted on Zee5 on June 5.
