Aaron Paul's Major Move to France

Actor Aaron Paul, known for his role in Breaking Bad, has officially sold his historic home in Los Angeles, marking a significant change as he and his family prepare to relocate to France. The property, located in the Los Feliz area, fetched a price of $7.49 million, as reported by real estate listings. This sale comes after the house was listed for $10 million back in July 2025.

The residence, referred to as the Seyler House, has been Paul’s primary home since he acquired it in 2019. Reflecting on his time there, he expressed the emotional connection his family has with the house, describing it as a sanctuary filled with cherished memories. The decision to sell aligns with the couple's plans to settle permanently in Paris with their two children, Story and Ryden.

A Property Steeped in History

This estate, which spans 1.5 acres near Griffith Park, boasts a rich architectural heritage. Built in 1922 by the esteemed architect Stiles O. Clemens—who is also known for his design of the El Capitan Theater—the home has been owned by several notable personalities over the years. Previous residents include basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and actors like Robert Pattinson, Jim Parsons, and Noah Wyle. Tim Curry is also known for having conducted a significant restoration of the property during his ownership.

Covering 4,026 square feet, the house retains its original Spanish Colonial style while featuring updates made by Paul, who added a rustic touch with extensive wood paneling and flooring. The outdoor space is designed to harmonize with the natural surroundings, complete with a freeform pool, koi pond, natural amphitheater, spa, and cold plunge, all enveloped in lush greenery.

Reasons for the Family's Move to Paris

The family's decision to move to Europe stems from a desire for a lifestyle change and a deeper cultural experience. In past interviews, Paul shared that this transition has been a long-held dream of his. Their interest in Paris was reinforced by their love for the city's rich history, vibrant culinary scene, and cultural offerings. After facing environmental challenges in Southern California, including wildfires, the family spent time in Europe, which further solidified their choice to seek a new environment where their children could learn a second language and embrace a different lifestyle.
