Aamir Khan's Latest Film 'Sitare Zameen Par' Breaks Box Office Records
Aamir Khan's Film Takes Theaters by Storm
Bollywood star Aamir Khan is currently making headlines due to his newly released film 'Sitare Zameen Par', which hit theaters on June 20. The film has received such overwhelming love from audiences that many cinemas are struggling to keep up with the demand for showtimes. As a result, several theaters in Mumbai have introduced post-midnight screenings, allowing fans to catch the film at 1 AM and 3 AM.
This decision was made just two days after the film's release, highlighting its immense popularity. According to box office reports, the film collected ₹10.7 crores on its opening day, and this figure doubled to ₹20.2 crores on the second day, bringing the total to ₹30.7 crores within just two days.
Increased Showtimes in Various Theaters
The impressive earnings indicate a strong demand for the film among viewers, prompting theaters to add midnight shows. Some of the theaters that have increased their showtimes include PVR Oberoi Mall Goregaon (1 AM), PVR Lower Parel (1 AM), PVR Sangam Andheri (1:05 AM), Metro INOX (1 AM), PVR Orion Mall Panvel (1:10 AM), Maxus Kandivali (3 AM and 6 AM), and Maxus Borivali (1:30 AM, 3 AM, and 6 AM).
A Special Comeback for Aamir Khan
'Sitare Zameen Par' serves as a sequel to Aamir Khan's 2007 film 'Taare Zameen Par', directed by RS Prasanna, featuring Genelia Deshmukh alongside him. This film is particularly significant for Aamir as it marks his return to the silver screen after a three-year hiatus.
Prior to this, Aamir appeared in the 2022 film 'Laal Singh Chaddha', which unfortunately did not perform well at the box office. After a break from acting, he is now back in theaters, and there are high expectations that 'Sitare Zameen Par' will continue to achieve remarkable box office success.
