A Hilarious Encounter with a Parrot and a Mechanic

The Unusual Request

Mrs. Dubey called to report that the air conditioner in her living room at Nehru Nagar Parijat Extension Q. No. HIG B/16 was malfunctioning. She instructed the mechanic to come by after she left for work, assuring him that the house would be locked except for the living room.

She mentioned that the key to the main door would be hidden under a nearby flower pot and that he needed to fix the AC inside. Additionally, she warned him about her Doberman, which would be loose but was trained not to attack unless commanded.

Mrs. Dubey also pointed out a parrot in a cage that was quite talkative, advising the mechanic not to engage with it. After the job was done, he was to lock the living room and return the key to its hiding spot. She promised to pay him when she returned home later that evening.

The Mechanic's Dilemma

When the mechanic arrived and opened the door, he was startled to find the Doberman lying near the sofa. However, the dog merely glanced at him before dozing off again.

As he proceeded to work, the parrot began squawking, calling him a thief and making a ruckus for the next two hours until the AC was repaired. It insulted him with various names, making the mechanic contemplate retaliating with a screwdriver, but he held back, remembering Mrs. Dubey's warning.

As he packed up to leave, the parrot taunted him once more, asking what he had stolen. Frustrated, the mechanic thought Mrs. Dubey had exaggerated the bird's threat, believing it couldn't harm him since it was caged.

A Surprising Escape

He pulled out his screwdriver and approached the parrot, ready to confront it. But just then, the parrot screamed, calling out for 'Tommy' and warning him to stay away.
