Kejriwal Addresses Rally in Baliganj
Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party and former Chief Minister of Delhi, spoke at a public gathering in Baliganj, West Bengal. During his address, he claimed that the Election Commission and the BJP have removed the names of 2.7 million voters from the electoral rolls in West Bengal.
Kejriwal stated, 'Look at social media; people are against PM Modi and are creating memes about him. Modi cannot win elections honestly.'
He further remarked, 'Modi's three companions are the ED, CBI, and Gyanesh Kumar. I have learned that the military has been summoned from across the country. Why is the military needed? Are the people of Bengal terrorists? This is an insult to the people of Bengal.'
Questioning Modi's Fear of Bengal
What is the Fear of Coming to Bengal?
Kejriwal alleged that 350,000 soldiers have been deployed in Bengal. He questioned why Modi and Amit Shah are afraid to visit Bengal. He accused them of using the ED, CBI, and the Election Commission, and added that if Modi loses the elections, the people of Bengal will demand his resignation.
Appeal for TMC Votes
Vote for TMC
Kejriwal urged the audience to support the Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidates. He encouraged them to tell their friends, relatives, and neighbors to vote for TMC in this election. He emphasized that Didi must win this battle against the BJP, warning that the BJP might cancel essential documents like ration cards. He assured that only Mamata Banerjee can assist them and that she will stand by their side.
Allegations Against BJP's Use of Agencies
BJP's Use of Central Agencies
During the rally, Kejriwal accused the BJP of misusing central agencies against its opponents. He recounted how a year ago, he was imprisoned for six months due to a corruption case filed against him, which was later dismissed by the court for lack of evidence. He urged the public not to allow this vindictive government to gain power in West Bengal.
Kejriwal asserted that if the Modi government comes to power, it would nullify all of Didi's initiatives. He also reminded the audience of Modi's unfulfilled promise to provide ₹2,500 to every woman in Delhi before the assembly elections.
