Alcohol Storage Limits in Haryana
For residents of Haryana, it's essential to know the limits on alcohol storage. In this state, individuals can keep up to six bottles of Indian liquor and eighteen bottles of foreign liquor produced in India. However, if you wish to store more than this, you must obtain a permit by paying an annual fee of ₹200 or a lifetime fee of ₹2000.
Alcohol Storage Regulations in Delhi
In the capital city of Delhi, individuals are allowed to store a maximum of 18 liters of alcohol at home, which includes wine, alcopops, and beer. However, you cannot keep more than 9 liters of Indian or foreign rum, whiskey, vodka, or gin. Additionally, residents can only transport one liter of alcohol outside Delhi, while travelers returning from abroad are permitted to bring back two liters.
Punjab's Alcohol Storage Rules
Punjab is known for its vibrant drinking culture. In this state, individuals can store two bottles of foreign liquor or two bottles of beer (650 ML) at home. If you wish to keep more than this limit, you will need to obtain a license, which costs ₹1000 annually or ₹10,000 for a lifetime.
Uttar Pradesh Alcohol Storage Limits
In Uttar Pradesh, individuals are allowed to keep up to six liters of alcohol for personal use. If you wish to store more than this amount, you must acquire a license, which costs ₹12,000 annually.
Alcohol Storage Limits in Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, individuals can store up to twelve bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) at home. Different rules apply for parties, where a license can be obtained for ₹2000, along with additional taxes for business parties.
Goa's Alcohol Storage Regulations
In Goa, individuals can store up to 24 bottles of beer, 12 bottles of IMFL, and 18 bottles of Indian liquor at home. In Maharashtra, the limit is set at eight bottles.
