Fuel Supply Remains Steady

With crude oil prices on a downward trend, the Oil Ministry announced on Monday that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel in the country. The fuel supply remains stable, and refineries are operating at optimal capacity. Sujata Sharma, the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, noted that some retail outlets have experienced increased sales due to commercial consumers opting for retail services. She mentioned that approximately 42 crore litres of diesel have been redirected to these retail outlets.

To manage the situation, the government issued a temporary notification allowing individuals to purchase only up to 200 litres. This measure is set to last for 90 days and aims to ensure that petrol is readily available to consumers.
