Renault Duster Hybrid Launch Schedule

Recent announcements indicate that the Renault Duster Hybrid is slated for release in early 2026. Following this, a 7-seater variant known as the Bigster is expected to debut within 6 to 12 months after the Duster's launch. Reports suggest that this model will feature a robust hybrid powertrain.


Production and Engine Options

The manufacturing of the new Renault Duster will take place at the Renault Nissan facility in Chennai. The launch is anticipated to occur in early 2026, initially offering only a petrol engine. According to Renault, turbo-petrol options will also be available. The hybrid versions are projected to follow within 6 to 12 months after the initial rollout.


Internationally, the Duster is equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine generating 94 horsepower, complemented by two electric motors, yielding a total output of approximately 140 horsepower. The larger Bigster variant will produce a combined output of 155 horsepower from a 108 horsepower petrol engine and a 51 horsepower motor. However, details regarding the specific hybrid system for the Indian market remain limited.


CMF-B Platform for Future Models

The upcoming Duster will utilize the CMF-B platform, which supports both hybrid and electric powertrains, ensuring adaptability for future models. This platform will also be the foundation for two additional Renault and Nissan vehicles.


CNG Variant in Development
