Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Embarks on UAE Investment Mission

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has landed in Abu Dhabi for a five-day trip aimed at boosting investment and attracting export-oriented industries to Odisha. He departed from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar around 10 AM, making a stop in New Delhi before continuing to Abu Dhabi, where he arrived late in the evening. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by local officials and proceeded to his accommodation.
The CM's itinerary includes three days of activities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai starting Wednesday. He plans to engage with top executives from various global firms, such as the International Holding Company (IHC), the Indian Business and Professional Group, and the petrochemical giant Borouge. In the evening, he will inaugurate an exhibition in Dubai that features products from Odisha, developed under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative. Additionally, he will meet with investors and industrialists to discuss potential investment opportunities in the state.
Majhi is also set to address the Odia community, emphasizing Odisha’s developmental projects and advocating for enhanced commercial and cultural connections between Odisha and the UAE. A meeting with UAE's Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, is scheduled for September 10, who also chairs the Council of International Investments.
Further discussions are planned with senior members of the Indian Business and Professional Council, Emirates Global Aluminium, and other organizations. His agenda includes a roundtable with the Middle East Recycling Association and meetings with the Odisha business delegation. On September 11, he will participate in the Odisha Investors’ Meet in Dubai, where he will interact with entrepreneurs and highlight the investment prospects available in the state. The CM is expected to return on September 12. Majhi has been actively promoting Odisha as a prime industrial hub and has previously visited various states and even Singapore to attract investors.
