Extension of Fuel Policy in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced an extension of the 'No PUCC, No Fuel' policy until March, allowing vehicle owners additional time to secure a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC).

Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena stated that this decision was made to accommodate the public's needs and the challenges faced by drivers in obtaining PUCCs before the previous deadline of February 1.

Under this policy, petrol stations are prohibited from dispensing fuel to vehicles lacking a valid PUCC. The State Transport Authority confirmed that this extension aims to minimize public inconvenience and facilitate a smoother rollout of the policy throughout the state.
