Noel Tata's Departure from Voltas
Following his recent resignation as Chairman of Trent, Noel Tata has announced that he will also step down from his role as Chairman of Voltas. At the age of 69, Tata made this announcement during Voltas' 72nd annual general meeting (AGM), indicating that this would be his final AGM in this capacity.
During his address to shareholders, Tata expressed confidence in the company's future, stating, "The company has successfully nurtured its next generation of leaders through a mix of internal promotions and external hires. I believe that with the collaboration of experienced professionals and fresh talent, Voltas will continue to excel across all business sectors."
He extended his gratitude to employees and business partners for their unwavering support throughout his tenure, expressing satisfaction with Voltas' current standing and growth trajectory. "I sincerely thank all our shareholders, colleagues, and partners for your trust and support over the years," he remarked.
Tata highlighted the company's achievements, noting that Voltas' room air conditioning division reached a significant milestone of 1 million units sold in just 81 days, reinforcing its position as a market leader.
Currently, Noel Tata holds several prominent positions, including Non-Executive Chairman of Trent, Tata Investment Corporation, Tata International, Trent Hypermarket, and Tata International West Asia DMCC in Dubai. He also serves as Vice-Chairman of Tata Steel and Titan Company Ltd.
