Seoul, April 21: Naver, a leading internet company, has announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Tata Group's IT division to explore potential business ventures in India.


This agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was formalized during a business forum focused on South Korea and India, which took place in New Delhi. The event was attended by notable figures including South Korean Industry Minister Kim Jung-kwan, Naver's CEO Choi Soo-yeon, India's Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and TCS President Ujjwal Mathur.


As part of the MoU, Naver and TCS plan to merge their strengths in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and business-to-consumer (B2C) services to explore opportunities in AI and digital transformation, particularly targeting the Indian market, as reported by a news agency.


Naver anticipates that this collaboration, which utilizes TCS's ecosystem services and data resources, will pave the way for new revenue streams in India.


Choi, the CEO of Naver, stated, "With India actively enhancing its AI ecosystem aiming to become a leader in AI, we foresee the creation of new business avenues through our partnership with TCS, focusing on AI, cloud, and B2C services."


In a related development, Hyundai Motor has entered into an agreement with TVS Motor Company Ltd. to jointly develop an electric three-wheeler tailored for the Indian market.


This joint development agreement, signed in New Delhi on Monday, designates Hyundai Motor as the leader in design and development of the electric three-wheeler, utilizing its research and development capabilities and a human-centric design philosophy.


TVS Motor will collaborate on the project by leveraging its electric vehicle (EV) platform and expertise in three-wheeler engineering, along with its understanding of the local market.


This partnership follows the introduction of an electric three-wheeler concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and signifies progress towards commercializing tailored mobility solutions for Indian consumers.
