Absolutely! We are indeed witnessing a robust growth trend in Odisha. Our retail sales have surged by approximately 51%, indicating the rising popularity of Royal Enfield motorcycles. The brand's market share in the Power Sport (PST) segment in Bhubaneswar has climbed from 30% to 32%, while across Odisha, it has increased by over 3.9% to 29.9%. Customers have shown a positive response, valuing the brand's design, performance, and riding experience, which continues to enhance their trust and enthusiasm for Royal Enfield motorcycles.


Challenges Facing the Motorcycle Industry


As a leading motorcycle dealer in Bhubaneswar, what challenges does the industry currently face?


The industry is experiencing a significant demand surge following the GST 2.0 revision, which lowered taxes on 350cc motorcycles from 28% to 18%. However, meeting this sudden increase in demand poses challenges due to supply constraints. We are managing to meet around 75–80% of the demand and have achieved over 50% growth in retail sales, with customers responding positively to the enhanced affordability.


Impact of US-India Trade Deal on Royal Enfield


Could the US-India trade agreement make Harley Davidson bikes more affordable, putting Royal Enfield at risk?


I don't think Royal Enfield is at risk. In India, motorcycle success is not driven by discounts or promotions but rather by value, quality, and strong brand loyalty. The consistent rise in sales clearly demonstrates the trust and preference of Indian consumers.

What has your journey been like so far, and what sets you apart?


My experience with Jaibaba over the past three years has been incredibly fulfilling. Our primary focus has always been on delivering an exceptional customer experience and fostering a unique riding culture. The Jaibaba Tribe riding group continues to expand, and our Net Promoter Score of over 50 indicates high customer satisfaction, surpassing industry standards.

As an entrepreneur, what motivated you to enter this field, and what advice would you offer to newcomers?


Biking has always been my passion and a source of mental well-being. I chose this business because it allows me to remain connected to something I genuinely love. Becoming a Royal Enfield dealer was an excellent opportunity. My advice to new entrepreneurs is to pursue ventures they are passionate about and maintain a commitment to quality and customer experience. For young individuals, my message is straightforward—follow your true passions. When you build a career or business around your interests, it naturally drives you to excel and unlock your full potential.
