Market Surge: Reliance and HDFC Bank Lead Valuation Gains in Top Firms

New Delhi: Last week, the combined market valuation of nine out of the top ten most valued companies surged by an impressive Rs 1,00,850.96 crore, driven primarily by Reliance Industries and HDFC Bank, reflecting a positive trend in the equity market.
The BSE benchmark Sensex experienced a notable increase of 737.98 points, equivalent to a rise of 0.90 percent.
Among the top ten firms, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was the only one to see a decline, while the others, including Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Bajaj Finance, and Hindustan Unilever Ltd, all recorded gains.
Reliance Industries led the pack with a market valuation increase of Rs 30,786.38 crore, bringing its total to Rs 19,53,480.09 crore.
HDFC Bank also saw a significant rise, adding Rs 26,668.23 crore to reach a valuation of Rs 15,15,853.85 crore.
Bajaj Finance's market cap grew by Rs 12,322.96 crore, reaching Rs 5,82,469.45 crore.
ICICI Bank's valuation climbed by Rs 9,790.87 crore, totaling Rs 10,41,053.07 crore.
Hindustan Unilever's market cap increased by Rs 9,280.89 crore, now at Rs 5,61,282.11 crore.
Bharti Airtel's valuation rose by Rs 7,127.63 crore to Rs 10,65,894.55 crore, while Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) saw an increase of Rs 3,953.12 crore, bringing its total to Rs 6,07,073.28 crore.
Infosys added Rs 519.27 crore to its market cap, which now stands at Rs 6,49,739.73 crore.
State Bank of India's valuation increased by Rs 401.61 crore, reaching Rs 7,25,437.74 crore.
Conversely, TCS experienced a decline in market cap, dropping Rs 28,510.53 crore to Rs 12,24,975.89 crore.
In the ranking of the top ten firms, Reliance Industries remains the most valued, followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, LIC, Bajaj Finance, and Hindustan Unilever.
