Mohan Yadav's Investment Drive in Madrid
Bhopal/Madrid, July 16: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, is set to speak at the 'Invest in Madhya Pradesh' forum in Madrid this Wednesday.
Upon his arrival in Madrid, the capital of Spain, CM Yadav met with Dinesh K Patnaik, the Indian ambassador to Spain, early on Wednesday.
In a media interaction in Madrid, Yadav, accompanied by his wife and senior officials, expressed his intent to attract investments to the state.
His visit to Spain, which will continue until July 19, includes participation in high-level discussions focused on industries, tourism, sports, culture, and filmmaking.
He is scheduled to meet with the President of Spain's Film Commission to explore opportunities for international film shoots in Madhya Pradesh and discuss potential collaborations.
Following this, he will address the Invest in Madhya Pradesh Forum.
Juan Ignacio Entrecanales, Chairman of the Spain India Council Foundation, will also speak at the event. Additionally, the Chief Minister plans to engage with the Indian community in Spain.
Yadav's trip to Spain follows a successful three-day business visit to Dubai from July 13 to 15.
In a video message released from his office, he stated, "Our visit to Dubai was fruitful, yielding positive responses and investment proposals in tourism, food, and textiles. We are optimistic about similar outcomes in Spain."
Before departing Dubai, CM Yadav held discussions with senior officials from DP World and Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) regarding the Bharat Mart project and its logistics potential. He described Bharat Mart as a gateway to global trade, emphasizing its role in integrating Madhya Pradesh into the global supply chain.
He noted that his Dubai visit laid a solid foundation for future development and trade partnerships.
During his time in the UAE, CM Yadav engaged in multiple meetings aimed at fostering future collaborations, including significant discussions with DP World, JAFZA, e& (formerly Etisalat), LuLu Group International's Director Salim MA, and representatives from the Tata Group.
He also met with Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
In a post on X, Al Zeyoudi emphasized the potential for increased cooperation in high-value sectors during his meeting with the Chief Minister.
Following their discussion, CM Yadav highlighted the investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), noting that the state provides a robust industrial base, supportive policies, and essential infrastructure for UAE investments in textiles, pharmaceuticals, smart manufacturing, renewable energy, and food processing.
