Emergency Landing of IndiGo Flight

New Delhi: An IndiGo flight traveling from Goa to Delhi had to make an emergency return to Goa on Tuesday due to a reported "technical issue."

The flight, designated as '6E 2102', took off from North Goa at 9:16 AM but was forced to turn back shortly after departure when the crew identified a problem. Air Traffic Control declared a full emergency around 9:30 AM as the aircraft made its way back to Manohar International Airport in Goa.

Fortunately, the plane landed without incident, and all passengers were safely disembarked with no injuries. They were accommodated in the boarding area.

According to a statement from the airline, "A technical issue was identified shortly after take-off on IndiGo flight 6E 2102. Following standard procedures, the necessary authorities were notified, and the pilots safely returned the aircraft to Manohar International Airport."

The aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance checks and will resume service once all required clearances are obtained.

An IndiGo spokesperson expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers, stating that efforts were made to minimize disruption, including providing refreshments and timely updates.

The airline has arranged alternative travel options for affected customers.

"The safety of our passengers, crew, and aircraft is our utmost priority at IndiGo," the statement emphasized.

This incident follows a previous technical disruption on IndiGo's website last month, which hindered several passengers from booking flights, completing web check-ins, or accessing certain online services.

Some users also faced challenges logging into the airline's mobile app.

IndiGo acknowledged these issues through a service advisory, indicating that intermittent problems with its core reservation system were affecting online service access.

This latest incident occurred just two days after IndiGo reported similar issues with its reservation platform, which could impact customer access to online services.
