Market Closure for Shri Ram Navami
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in India were closed on Thursday in observance of Shri Ram Navami. There were inquiries regarding a potential two-day closure since Ram Navami is also celebrated in some regions on Friday. However, according to the official calendar, trading will resume on Friday. The next holidays on the horizon include Mahavir Jayanti and Good Friday, leading to only three trading sessions in the following week, creating an extended weekend.
On Tuesday, March 31, the markets will be closed for Shri Mahavir Jayanti, followed by another closure on Friday, April 3, for Good Friday.

Looking further ahead, trading will be paused on Muharram on June 26, Ganesh Chaturthi on September 14, and Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. The holiday schedule continues with Dussehra on October 20, Diwali Balipratipada on November 10, Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 24, and concludes with Christmas on December 25.
