Free Trade Agreement Between India and New Zealand
New Delhi: An official announcement indicates that the free trade agreement (FTA) between India and New Zealand is expected to take effect on October 19.
The two nations formalized the FTA on April 27, aiming to enhance bilateral trade in goods and services while encouraging investment opportunities.
This agreement allows for duty-free access for all of India's exports to New Zealand.
At present, New Zealand imposes peak tariffs reaching 10% on several significant Indian exports, such as ceramics, carpets, automobiles, and auto parts.
Additionally, New Zealand has pledged to invest USD 20 billion in India over the next 15 years.
