The three-day international cardiology conference, Him-Cardiocon 2025, wrapped up on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Leading heart specialists emphasized that unhealthy lifestyles pose a significant threat to younger individuals, while also exploring new advancements in cardiac treatment.


Jointly organized by the Himachal Heart Institute in Mandi and the Himalayan Medical Research Society, the event took place from December 19 to 21, attracting approximately 200 cardiologists from various regions of the country.


During the conference, experts discussed the latest developments in heart disease management, innovative technologies in cardiology, and the concerning increase in heart attack incidents among younger populations.


Dr. Amit Verma, addressing the audience, pointed out that stress, junk food consumption, substance abuse, insufficient sleep, and a sedentary lifestyle are major factors contributing to cardiovascular issues in youth.


Speakers highlighted a clinical shift towards early screening, lifestyle changes, and the adoption of minimally invasive, technology-driven interventions to address the rising incidence of heart diseases.


Dr. Kunal Mahajan, the organizing chairman, noted that such academic gatherings are vital for enhancing cardiac care services in Himachal Pradesh. He stated, “Regular exchanges of knowledge and updates on the latest treatment protocols will significantly improve outcomes for heart patients in the region.”


The conference concluded with a strong call for increased public awareness and collaborative efforts among clinicians, researchers, and policymakers to combat lifestyle-related heart diseases.
