Empowering Women Through Financial Literacy: A Seminar in Mulund
Financial Literacy Seminar for Women
A significant seminar focused on financial literacy, titled “Nivesh Ki Baat – A Financial Literacy Program for Women”, took place in Mulund on Saturday, June 28, 2025. This event was organized by Siddhantha Wealth Managers in partnership with Agroha Vikas Trust – Mulund Bhandup Mahila Samiti, with support from SBI Mutual Fund.
The initiative was led by Mrs. Sharda Deepakraj Lala, the founder of Siddhantha Wealth Managers and President of Agroha Vikas Trust (Mulund-Bhandup Mahila Samiti). The seminar aimed to provide women with essential knowledge regarding investment and financial management.
During her address, Ms. Lala emphasized the vital role women have historically played in managing household finances, including budgeting, reducing unnecessary expenses, and fostering a culture of saving within their families. She stated, “It’s time to transition from saving to strategic investing.”
The objectives of the program included:
* Raising awareness about fundamental financial planning
* Introducing the basics of mutual fund investments
* Empowering women to make educated financial choices
Participants were actively involved, posing questions and sharing personal experiences. Financial experts also provided valuable insights on how consistent, small investments can contribute to long-term wealth accumulation.
This event represented a crucial step towards making financial literacy more accessible and inclusive, particularly for women who manage family finances but may lack formal investment training.
The initiative received positive feedback and is anticipated to inspire more educational outreach programs in the future.
