Emirates Airlines Resumes Flights Amid Safety Concerns: What Travelers Need to Know
Emirates Airlines Restarts Operations
New Delhi: Emirates Airlines has announced the resumption of its flight services after a temporary halt due to safety issues at Dubai International Airport. The airline shared this update via its social media channels on Saturday.
In a message posted on X, Emirates confirmed that passengers with confirmed reservations for flights scheduled later in the day are now welcome to head to the airport.
The airline also clarified that this advisory extends to travelers transiting through Dubai, as long as their connecting flights are operating as planned.
Emirates stated, “Our previous post from 11:08 AM Dubai time regarding operational status is outdated and has been removed to prevent confusion.”
The airline emphasized that passengers with confirmed bookings for flights this afternoon may proceed to the airport, including those transiting in Dubai if their connecting flights are confirmed to be operating.
Travelers are encouraged to verify their flight status and seat availability through Emirates' official channels before arriving at the airport to ensure their flights are on schedule.
The airline is actively monitoring the situation and will adjust its operational schedule as necessary.
“Emirates continues to keep a close watch on the situation and will adapt our operational schedule accordingly,” the airline noted.
The safety of passengers and crew remains the airline's utmost priority, and they expressed gratitude to customers for their understanding and patience during this time.
Earlier in the day, Emirates had announced a temporary suspension of all flights to and from Dubai until further notice, advising passengers to refrain from traveling to the airport while operations were paused.
In that earlier communication, the airline promised to provide updates as more information became available, reiterating that the safety of passengers and crew is paramount.
However, this post has since been deleted to alleviate confusion among travelers.
