Gold Prices Today: March 2 Update


Today, gold prices are expected to be significantly affected by the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. As of March 2, the price for 24-carat gold in the domestic market is set at ₹1,68,333, while 22-carat gold is priced at ₹1,54,305. The 18-carat variant is available for ₹1,26,259. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures have seen a slight decrease, trading at ₹1,61,971 per 10 grams, down from ₹1,62,104 in the previous session on Friday. This follows a peak of ₹1,80,779 per 10 grams in the futures market on January 29, highlighting the recent volatility in gold prices.


According to Goodreturns, the current rates for gold in India are ₹17,308 per gram for 24-carat gold, ₹15,865 per gram for 22-carat gold, and ₹12,981 per gram for 18-carat gold.
