Sustainability Initiatives
In a separate initiative towards sustainability, BPCL has partnered with Akasa Air by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in India. This collaboration is designed to bolster the SAF ecosystem in the country and assist the aviation sector in its efforts to lower carbon emissions.
The agreement includes establishing a framework for the supply and offtake of SAF-blended aviation turbine fuel (ATF) at select airports. Both companies will also focus on long-term supply strategies by sharing demand forecasts and supporting production planning, gradually increasing SAF blending as the domestic SAF ecosystem matures.
Partnership with Instamart
Recently, Instamart announced a collaboration with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to introduce the first on-demand LPG cylinder delivery service on a quick commerce platform. This partnership marks the launch of HPCL's new 'HP Navya', a next-generation 10 kg composite LPG cylinder.
The service will first be available in Bengaluru, allowing customers to order the HP Navya composite cylinder alongside HPCL's existing 5 kg metal LPG cylinder through Instamart. This initiative aims to make LPG more accessible to a broader consumer base.
