Bharat Buildcon 2026: A Major Expo for Construction Industry Kicks Off

New Delhi, June 18: The Bharat Buildcon 2026, themed 'One Nation, One Expo', was officially launched at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre. According to an official announcement, the event attracted over 25,000 attendees on its first day.
This exhibition brought together architects, builders, developers, contractors, manufacturers, traders, policymakers, industry associations, and international buyers from various regions of India and beyond, creating a vibrant platform for networking and business opportunities.
Participants from more than 90 countries and exhibitors from over 100 cities in India are showcasing a diverse range of products and technologies across 24 categories, including ceramics, stone, hardware, cement, steel, plywood, laminates, furniture, sanitaryware, electricals, paints, construction technologies, and other related sectors.
Jitin Prasada, the Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology, emphasized the significance of free trade agreements in enhancing prospects for Indian industries in global markets.
He mentioned that the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement is set to improve market access and bolster trade relations between the two nations, as stated by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
Prasada also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of establishing India as a reliable global manufacturing and sourcing hub, focusing on quality.
He pointed out that India possesses the necessary capabilities and resources to enhance its footprint in various sectors, particularly in construction and building materials.
The exhibition will run for several days, offering a venue for industry engagement, showcasing technology, and facilitating business interactions, as noted in the statement.
The inauguration was attended by Prasada, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, and Member of Parliament Parshottam Rupala, along with representatives from the construction and building materials sector.
In line with the national initiative Viksit Bharat@2047, Bharat Buildcon aims to connect manufacturers directly with government procurement channels and global trade networks, providing access to key decision-makers and procurement leaders over the four-day event.
