Air India has announced the continuation of its flight suspension between Tel Aviv and Delhi, now extended until July 31, due to ongoing uncertainties regarding the security situation in West Asia. Initially, the airline had planned to halt operations on this route until the end of June, but escalating geopolitical issues have necessitated an additional month of suspension.

A senior official managing the airline's operations in Israel confirmed this update, stating that the schedule change was communicated yesterday evening. The official noted that flights have been suspended until July 31 due to the prevailing geopolitical climate.

Impact of Ongoing Conflict on Air Travel

The ongoing unrest in West Asia has significantly affected the aviation industry. Since the conflict intensified in late February, airlines in the region have faced numerous operational hurdles, including increased fuel costs and airspace restrictions. These factors have led to higher operational expenses and disrupted flight schedules on various international routes.

Air India had initially paused its services to Tel Aviv until the end of May, later extending this suspension through June. The latest announcement now extends the halt until the end of July.

Despite a ceasefire between the United States and Iran being in effect for some time, the overall regional uncertainty continues to impact international flight operations. Most airlines are still refraining from flying to Tel Aviv due to safety and logistical issues.

Currently, only a handful of airlines have resumed flights to and from Israel. Besides Israeli carriers like El Al, IsraAir, Arkia, and Air Haifa, very few international airlines are operating on this route, creating significant challenges for passengers planning to travel abroad for work, leisure, or family matters.
