Overview of the Aprilia Sr 175

Aprilia India has been concentrating on the Rs 457 and Tuono 457 models recently, while also preparing to introduce the new Sr 175 scooter to select dealers ahead of its anticipated launch in July. This new model will take the place of the Sr 160. The Sr 175 will feature a newly designed air-cooled, 174cc, three-valve, single-cylinder engine. This upgrade in engine capacity is achieved through a larger bore, producing 12.92 horsepower at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, surpassing the previous Sr 160's output of 11.27 hp at 7,100 rpm and 13.44 Nm at 5,300 rpm.

Mechanical Specifications

The mechanical aspects, including the frame, suspension, brakes, and tires, appear to be consistent with those found on the SR 160. The scooter will be equipped with 14-inch wheels on both ends and will feature single-channel ABS, complemented by a drum brake at the rear.

Upgraded Display and Connectivity

The new Sr 175 will come with a modern color TFT display, which seems to be inspired by the Rs and Tuono 457 models. The display will feature a unique layout and animations, along with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to connect their smartphones via the Aprilia App. This marks a significant upgrade from the older LCD screens currently used in the SR and SXR models.

Pricing Information

Recent reports indicate that the Aprilia Sr 175 will be priced at approximately Rs 1.31 lakh, which aligns with the starting price of the outgoing SR 160. The price range for the new model is expected to be between Rs 1.32 lakh and Rs 1.42 lakh, although this has yet to be officially confirmed.
